Obtain Your Certificate as a Service (CaaS) Credentials

External Account Binding (EAB) credentials are secure authentication keys that connect your Automated Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client to your paid Trustico® Certificate as a Service (CaaS) license.

The usual way to retrieve these credentials is through your order history. You view your order and billing history, then open the relevant Certificate as a Service (CaaS) license order, where the details are displayed.

This information is generally available for 7 days after the order is submitted. The method on this page is offered as an alternate way to retrieve the same credentials.

After every Certificate as a Service (CaaS) order, the credentials and details for that order are also sent to you by e-mail. This e-mail should be kept somewhere safe, as it serves as your reliable record of the credentials for future use.

The Role of External Account Binding (EAB) Credentials

External Account Binding (EAB) credentials authenticate your Automated Certificate Management Environment (ACME) client during the account registration process. When your client first connects to our server, it uses your External Account Binding (EAB) Key Identifier and External Account Binding (EAB) Message Authentication Code (MAC) Key to prove it is authorized to access your paid service.

Once your client is registered using these credentials, it can request and reissue your SSL Certificate automatically for as long as the Certificate as a Service (CaaS) license remains active.
